Garage Cleanout Checklist: How to Prep for Fast, Cheap Junk Removal
June 10, 2026 3 min read
1. Sort into four piles
Before we arrive, split everything into keep, donate, recycle, and haul. This one step saves the most money because you only pay to remove what actually needs to go — and we'll take the donate/recycle piles to the right places for you.
2. Pull the big items to the front
Move large, obvious junk (broken furniture, old appliances, busted exercise gear) toward the garage door. Easy access means less labor time, which keeps your quote lower.
3. Flag anything special
Set aside paint, chemicals, tires, batteries, and electronics. Some hazardous materials need special disposal — tell us in advance so we can handle them correctly and legally.
4. Snap a photo and text it
Text a quick photo of the garage to (619) 813-4608 for an upfront quote. We serve all of San Diego County with same-day and next-day service, and we sweep up when we're done.
Frequently Asked
How long does a garage cleanout take?
Most single-car and two-car garage cleanouts take our crew 30 minutes to 2 hours depending on volume and access. We do the heavy lifting and haul it all in one visit.
Do you donate usable items?
Yes. We route usable furniture and goods to local San Diego donation centers and recycle what we can, so less ends up in the landfill.
